Or in this case, Chalk4Peace.

This is my longtime colleague, Marielle, who has been doing Chalk4Peace with her students for year. She is an art teacher, but you don’t have to be an art teacher to organize a Chalk4Peace event… and you don’t have to be an artist to participate. Nevertheless, an event like this illustrates a powerful truth about art.

Art can bring people together around a cause…

…and each of us can make a difference through our art, in whatever form, by expressing our idea of the way the world should be.

Congratulations, Marielle, on another successful event. Your whole school was alive with energy in support of this message.

We all want and deserve peace in our schools, in our communities, and in our world.
